Caroline Sills Summer 2010 – Press Release
Caroline Sills Spring/Summer 2010 collection looks and feels breezy and effortless in a very fresh modern way.
An organic summer knit palette of linen, fog, limestone, pebble and tweed compliment the soft hues of rose pink, ink and white.
Knits are open and fluid, hugging the lines of the body, making the pieces fit like a dream without being clingy. The preppy style of an open knit crochet blazer with contrasting trim and a wide neck open knit tunic are versatile and functional.
Beautiful soft linen knits featuring long line slouch v cardigans with loose drape pockets in sophisticated block colours of linen and ink contrast. A delicate pleated layered cardigan in feminine soft pink sets the scene for this collection and easily compliments an oversized beaded crew knit in the same yarn.
Jungle yarn in natural colours of linen and fog gives a raw effect on a weekend sweater and biker jacket. Tops and jackets are crushed and textured and elegant long line jackets are a wrap of lighter than air silk.
Practical considerations such as comfort and structure also come into play with urban parachute silk pin tucked cuff shirts and tailored cuffed trousers in glossy neutrals that can all be worn together and layered up, but come summer, also work brilliantly offset with white or bright separates.
Caroline Sills Spring/Summer 2010 uses fabrics and knits that feel good against the skin and incorporate prim details with casual shapes and fabrics, making the collection the perfect choice for easy summer dressing.
